Episode 25: Space Part 2

This is the second and concluding part of the Space episodes of the Threadwork podcast. And in a way this is maybe not the but certainly a distillation of what Space in music can feel like. At least as far as I’m concerned - there’s not a chance in hell I’m making that assertion for anyone else. And all I really mean is that genre-wise and record-wise so many of these records just really make me feel spacey. The music sounds like it’s beaming in from, setting out towards or orbiting in perfect harmony, space. They’re so evocative, conjuring images of inky blackness and pinpricks of light that are so much more than they seem - unfathomably so.
On that note, evocative is a word I keep coming back to when describing music I play on the podcast, which is leading me to add more weight to that ability to evoke either images or feelings being ‘a Thread’ - and this is a podcast that seeks to work out what it is that links together all this amazing music.
Anyway, there may only be 9 pieces of music in this episode but what a 9 they are. Headphones would do you well on this one. But even if you don’t listen to the podcast that way - I hope you dig it and the music in whichever way you so.
Cheers,
R
